CBAMWorks produces supplier data in the format EU-accredited verifiers expect: every value tied back to the bill, meter reading or production record it came from, with a full edit history and the production route, monitoring plan version and calculation route logged. Verifiers get a read-only workspace per installation. Pro-plan importers can book a verifier in-dashboard. We work with verifiers who agree to batch site visits by cluster (e.g. Ludhiana forgings) so the per-installation cost is manageable.
What the verifier sees
A dedicated read-only tenant per installation they’re reviewing, with:
- The full data pack: installation profile, fuels, electricity, precursors, production.
- Every value linked to its evidence — click a number, see the bill photo it came from, with the extraction confidence and the supplier’s confirmation timestamp.
- Edit history per value — who changed what, when, and the previous value.
- Monitoring plan version and attachment.
- Calculation route for each emission source (fuel-based, mass-balance, direct measurement).
- Reference data version used (which default-value table, which grid factor table).
- Assumptions and overrides, where any value depends on operator judgement or data not directly measured.
- One-page summary PDF that mirrors the Commission communication template layout, pre-populated.
The workspace is read-only — a verifier can comment and request corrections, but changes to data are made by the operator in their own tenant.
What the verifier can request
- Corrections per value — logged as a change request to the operator.
- Additional evidence — the operator can upload more bills or readings in response.
- Clarifications on calculation routes.
- Scope confirmations on precursors and production routes.
Every verifier interaction is logged in the audit trail.
Site visits, batched by cluster
The first verification year requires a physical site visit per installation. CBAMWorks works with EU-accredited verifiers who agree to batch visits by industrial cluster — Ludhiana forgings, Rajkot castings, Istanbul long steel, etc. The practical effect:
- Travel cost split across multiple installations.
- Per-installation visit fee falls versus a single-site visit.
- Scheduling becomes a cluster calendar, not a per-installation negotiation.
In later years the regulation allows remote verification for the same installation; the first-year audit trail is what makes that possible.
Booking a verifier (Pro plan)
Pro-plan importers can request a verifier in-dashboard:
- Pick the installation(s) you want verified.
- We offer a short list of verifier partners that cover the installation’s cluster and sector.
- The verifier gets a read-only workspace invite.
- Price and scope negotiated directly between you and the verifier — CBAMWorks doesn’t resell verification.
For verifier partners
If you’re an EU-accredited CBAM verifier, we’d like to partner. See the verifier partner programme for terms, how clustering works, and how to apply.
What CBAMWorks is not
- Not a verifier. We never issue verification opinions.
- Not an accreditation body. We don’t accredit verifiers.
- Not a procurement channel. You negotiate the verification contract directly with the verifier.
