CBAM de minimis checker
The CBAM de-minimis threshold is 50 tonnes per importer per calendar year, combined across steel, aluminium, fertilisers and cement. Electricity and hydrogen have no de-minimis.
Rule of thumb
- • Under 50 t combined → out of scope this year.
- • Over 50 t combined → all of that year's in-scope imports are reportable.
- • The threshold is checked at the importer level, not per supplier or per sector.
